We are super happy and excited about having you join us in class and to be back again for partner dancing! However, we need to make sure we do so in a safe way. As such we will have our Covid Safe Plan in place, under the government's approved Dance and Physical Performance Arts (DPPA) plan.
Please take the time to read through and follow the below guidelines, and to register in advance if you are planning to attend our classes:
Please arrive early to your class for our registration process, which will include signing in on arrival as well as signing out when you are leaving.
Please wash your hands before or on arrival at our venue, and make sure to use hand sanitiser both before and after class (before using the sign in/sign out register).
Please be prepared with your own water bottle and hand towel (both ladies & gents), as well as a spare T-shirt to change into if perspiring.
Remember to be mindful to avoid touching your face, especially during class. You are welcome to use the hand sanitiser if you do realise you’ve touched your face, or just need a top up.
If you are about to cough or sneeze, please excuse yourself from the group by a few metres and use a tissue or your towel, rather than your hands, arms or your clothing; then use hand sanitiser.
Most importantly - If you are feeling unwell in any way, including fever, sore throat, coughing or sneezing, please stay home. We are happy to arrange a video of the class summary to be sent to you, if requested, and to briefly recap the class with you next time. Our main priority is to minimise the risk of spreading any illness to our fellow classmates during class.
A non-contact infrared thermometer is also available for use, as well as face masks and gloves for ‘cost price’ purchase if desired. (Note: this does not override our requirement to stay at home if feeling unwell, however). Commonly touched surfaces, including bathrooms will be disinfected between classes.
If you have travelled internationally, or from Victoria or any other ‘hot spots’ please follow the Government’s recommendations and do not attend class until after 14 days quarantine. The list of declared Covid-19 hotspots can be accessed at www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid19/current-status/hotspots-covid-19
If you have potentially been exposed, please let us know immediately and keep us updated.
We reserve the right to ask you to go home or to sit out the class if we have any concerns about you being unwell, or if temperature is in the 'high range', which is 37.5C or higher.
Note that our classes will be run as partner dancing, with social distancing between practice, so periodic contact and some partner rotation will take place.
You are also welcome to take the class as a ‘solo learner’ option, or as a ‘wi-fi lead/follow’, or as a ‘designated partner’ with a person you are co-habitating with if you prefer.
Thank you for working together to keep everyone safe and happy! 😊
