Do I need a partner to enroll for a couple dancing style? You don’t need a partner, although it is always better to bring friends along! We rotate the students in the class so everyone can have a go, however we are unable to guarantee exactly 50/50 ratio every week due to absences. But for the most part it is fairly even. ​ Can I dance only with my partner? Yes. The rotation is not compulsory. Just tell the teacher your preference of not rotating partners before each class. However we highly encourage you to change partners, as it speeds and improve your learning. ​ What clothes/shoes should I wear? Couple dances (Zouk, Salsa, Bachata, Ballroom …) Clothes: Wear comfortable clothes. We recommend smart casual attire that allows easy movement. Please avoid tight or long skirts, ties, long sleeved shirts or anything too warm or restrictive. Shoes: Please avoid thongs, slippers, mules or open toe sandals. To start we recommend flat shoes or low heels that have an ankle strap and are secure around your ankles. Later on you can buy a proper jazz or latin dance shoes. Ladies: Just use high heels if you are confident in them. Hygiene & Well-being Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated, a towel, your deodorant, a spare t-shirt if you are doing more than one class and something like mints to keep your breath fresh are always appreciated for couple dance classes. ​ How long are the classes? All classes run for 1 hour (except special classes, performance classes and workshops), a few minutes to allow for class changeover. ​ How can I pay? We have a 7weeks syllabus term with bootcamp on week 4 of the term, so in order not to disturb class we recommend that you start your classes at the beginning of any 7 weeks or after bootcamp. This way you can start learning from the beginning of a sylubuss week set and continue at the same pace as everyone else. Our open night Trial night: If you are not sure if you want to commit to a full course then try the first class as casual and then decide if you would like to join the remaining of the course. We highly recommend taking private lessons to get you up to speed. ​ What's better private lessons or classes? During private lessons you receive individual attention which allows the student (individual or couple) to learn at their own pace yet is flexible enough for even the busiest schedules. You gain more knowledge and fix bad habits with a lot of focused repetition, which will improve your dance rapidly. Group classes are great for practicing lead and follow as well as for repetition. Classes are a fun way to make new friends. For most individuals, it is recommended to learn with a combination of classes and private lessons. ​ Do you have Gift Certificates? Yes, gift certificates are available for classes and/or private lessons. These are very popular for special occasions such as birthdays, Christmas, Valentines Day and Weddings.
