About the Event
Are you ready for International Zouk Day 2019?! It's coming up fast on Saturday 21st September, and dance schools and teams around Brisbane (and around the world, in fact ) :D are busy planning their celebrations as well as training for the Flashmob choreography to be performed on the day.
So... IZD 2018 was an exceptional year with Brisbane showcasing our Zouk scene with many of the schools from Brisbane and the Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast coming together to promote Zouk, take part in the IZD Flashmob as well as joining in putting on public performances during the day, then capping it all off with our IZD Celebration Zouk Party! 🎈
We will be doing it all again with the help of YOU and all the schools, which get out there day in and day out to teach, promote and enjoy this beautiful dance style. ❤
PLAN FOR THE DAY:
Get Involved ! Here we go, this is going to be rough plan for the day, and there will be few small changes to this as the time comes. We are hoping for your help to get our favourite dance style, Zouk, out there and to show it to everyone!
The 2019 International Zouk Day Celebrations will be held on Saturday 21st September! ** Plans of the activities for the day & night of 21st September -
10:00 am social dancing at Reddacliff Place
11:00 am Flashmob performance in Reddacliff Place, CBD
11:15 till 1:00 pm demonstrations & performances by our local schools as well as more Social Dancing at Reddacliff Place CBD
3:00 Picnic/BBQ ( Location - the park behind Paddington Hall, 10 Moreton St)
5:00 IZD Celebrations Party, including pre-party FREE 'Intro to Zouk' class & our usual Improver class in separate room (Venue: 10 Moreton St, Paddington)
11:30 Party finishes, home for some well earned rest ;)
FLASH MOB TRAINING:
Training will commence on the Sunday,11th August for 6 weeks! So, the training sessions will take place over 1.5 hours of 6 weeks.
Training Details:
Dates - 11/8, 18/8, 25/8,1/9, 8/9 and 15/9
Time - Choreography: 11.00 am - 1.00 pm (30 min practice)
Venue - 10 Love St, Spring Hill
Price - $60 for 6 weeks training, (1.5 hour training sessions & 30 min practice)
T-Shirt - Flash Mob T-shirts are optional and an additional $25 (but we'd love everyone to wear one, and look united! :) )
Performance Day: Saturday, 21st Sept, 11am Reddacliff Place CBD (This is in front of library, and opposite Casino)

Flash Mob Training for IZD 19
This Ticket includes 6 weeks training for 1.5 hours on Sundays and 30 min of practice. The International Zouk Day is a FREE event. However, if you wish to perform the routine (International Zouk Day flash mob Choreo) with 1000s of people around the world on 21st Sep then you need to join us to with our 6 weeks training. You have 2 methods of payment here: Paypal & Offline option If you wish to choose the offline option you can Transfer the the money via bank transfer.
