Here we are, the other end of our 6th edition of Cloud9 Mid Year Ball weekender ❣️💃🕺🌟❣

Each year is a little different, but something unchanging is the wonderful feeling during and after... 2025 was again filled with good vibes & love, for which we are immensely grateful and appreciative of everyone who came together to create this ✨✨💃🕺💖

Thank you everyone for your amazing support in being a part of our event, for your wonderful smiles and energy, and for enjoying all the moments, to bring everything together into one big fun & great experience. ❣

A big shout out and huge gratitude to our beautiful Internationals, Alê & Victoria, who arrived 1 month early to share their time, knowledge and beautiful spirits with our Brissie students as well as interstate communities in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Canberra 🙏 And then somehow keep the energy going to culminate in a grand finale of wonderful workshops and many inspirational demos and special dances with our Mid Year Ball attendees🙏

It was super special to have this extra time, as well as to be able to work with such amazing professionals, including being able to train and perform their beautiful choreographies, created especially for us. We love you! 💖 💖

Our massive appreciation too for our special guests. Fabricio & Maria, for the inspiration & teachings they brought, and SUPER BIG thanks to our many wonderful artists from around Australia as well as New Zealand ✨, for adding so much creativity, fun, and value to our event. ✨

Jiten & Riana, Usha & Abs, Val & Bobbi, Reinaldo & Joanna, Kama & Peter we so appreciate you guys for your support and the beautiful souls and fun personalities that you bring with you to share with our attendees ✨

Dharshana & Teresa, and Arkadi, an extra thank you for making the trip all the way from Auckland! to share of your knowledge & energy (with Dharsh & Kadi experiencing our Ball for the first time and bringing their music to DJ as well 🙂) ✨🙏

We have received so much awesome feedback about how much our dancers loved every workshop and the friendly feel of being able to have great dances with our artists on the weekend. ❤

Also an extra BIG gratitude to Alê & Victoria as well for creating not 1 but 2 choreographies as well as training materials for us to share, train and then rehearse & perform on stage with you both - what a special experience! 💖

Thank you too to our performance teams who took up the challenge and made the experience so much fun - we loved it all! And everything came together for super enjoyable and wonderful performances on the night.

To our Videographer, Roman Balìtskiy, thank you so much for capturing the inspiring workshop demos and special moments of performances for us to enjoy, remember and rewatch far into the future. 💖

Also, a special note of thanks to Cassandra the Chiro for making the effort to set up onsite and for being available with her wonderful chiropractic and healing treatments.👐💖 Cass is a longstanding supporter of our events, and we really appreciate having her healing skills on hand for our dancers. 🙏

An acknowlegement and thanks too to the venue organisers, Naomi & the wonderful Ian who is always on hand to guide and assist - we feel at home here by now and love the space, the floors, and more, and appreciate you making the special arrangements in order for us to be able to put on a smoothly run event in a great environment.🙏

To our beautiful volunteers, thank you, we really relied on our team to look after things, and without your friendly selves greeting our attendees, and your contributions in helping with everything throughout, we wouldn't be able to bring our event to everyone! 🌟🙏

So our personal appreciation to: Matty-awesome!✨🕺), Rosa & Dragan our steadfast friends and supporters, the beautiful & capable Camille, Dieter with his wealth of experience and tireless help, and the competent and help-full Chelsey, Farzad, Isobelle, joining our team for the 1st time, and finally & Especially the wonderful Juliane who has supported us & Cloud9 school over the last 12 months with absolutely all things and took care during this time of Mid Year Ball with everything from cooking meals to set up / pack up, you name it! We will miss her very much as she travels back home to Brazil and we hope to have you back again with us before too long. 💖

And last but not least, THANK YOU to ALL of our awesome Attendees, all the dancers from our community who love Zouk, as well as exploring Lambada, and made the effort and time to join us this year, and in great spirit. You are amazing!💖 A special note of thanks to our many interstate dancers - kudos in making the extra investment in time and resources to be here - we see and appreciate this immensely! 💖

Weekends like this just bring to us a continuous reminder of how grateful we are for our wonderful community of dancers, artists, DJs, media, etc and just every one of you who is a part of it all ❤. We appreciate you all so much for your support and for your beautiful energy! 🙂🙂

Let's keep smiling as we look back on the weekend, and look forward in anticipation of bringing everyone together again (but with a different kind of special 💖), at Brisbane Zouk Festival in November !🕺💃🥳
