Zouk & Lambada Choreography by Jeferson & Kaylane 🥳💃🕺🤩
This is for all the dancers from Australia & NZ who are keen & coming to BZF 2025 or want to learn this beautiful routine in Zouk & Lambada timing to improve their dancing 🙂
Here is a challenge to also elevate your lambada to next level. As you may have heard, last year we had 4 amazing international couples (Sara & Otavio, Pedro & Cibele) who we hosted for 1 month for Project June, and for our Cloud9 Mid Year Ball, and this year the incredible couple, Ale & Victoria, who brought both the Zouk & Lambada challenge to us... so we have been working hard to try to grow Lambada and give new opportunities to dancers to either spice up their Zouk with Lambada, or to learn 'pure Lamba' ;)
So.... our latest couple, here with us and being hosted for 1 month residency and for Brisbane Zouk Festival, is the spectacular Jeferson & Kaylane! 🤩
So, we are setting this challenge for Zouk as well as those Lambada lovers, and whoever would like to learn lambada in a fun way, with a routine with both Zouk and Lambada (in Lambada timing) to join in pre-training and perform it at BZF 2025 on the stage with Jeferson & Kaylane and other dancers from all around Aus & NZ.
We are also reaching out to our awesome dance schools and local teachers around Aus & NZ to be part of teaching this routine to their students.
The training videos with counts and music, front & back view from these wonderful dancers will be provided online.

Please try to not miss any training sessions, however we understand that you may already have plans from time to time or unexpected things could happen. Make sure to let us know and keep in contact if this is the case.
(If you have already discussed your situation with us, that is okay). -
We will give you access to comprehensive videos which will be available for you to review if you miss a session.

Please don't share our choreo or training videos with other people or to social media. After our public performance you are welcome to share the performance videos to your heart's content! 🤩😊

We will sort out the costumes shortly to suit the theme of the song. Please note that sometimes it is hard one to make sure everyone is happy with it, so we all need to be ready to compromise.

Costume expense - please budget for costume cost, which we will try our best to keep affordable. We anticipate this could range from $50 up to $100, however any more expensive items (eg: jeans) we will try to choose options that you can wear again later (off stage, ie, in public 😉)

Event/Ticket expense - If we decide to take our team choreography to any events, such as Brisbane Zouk Festival or other dance festivals which are ticketed events, you will need to purchase the applicable ticket. Most festival events will have a 'Performer Pass' which is slightly discounted.

We will advise you in advance if we are planning on performing at any ticketed events, so that you can factor it into your plans and let us know in advance whether you are committed to attending and performing.
